Ask any soldier who's been in a firefight they'll tell you 80 rounds is not enough. No amount is ever enough. In the Great War, doughboys wore bandoliers carrying extra ammunition that couldn't fit in their cartridge belt and World War 2 was no different.
If you look at a picture of soldiers on the line, you'll notice that these guys have everything on them, and only the essentials. They always are loaded down with ammunition. As Armored Infantry, we have the luxury of keeping our personal equipment back on the jeeps and half-tracks. But we never leave without a lot of ammunition.
Bandoliers are easy to come by, especially online. Most of the time you'll find later, OD #7 (darker green) versions - some of which are Korean War issue - but you'll find an occasional OD #3 type. They will round out your impression nicely and plus allow you to carry more ammunition in to the fight.
