The pants web belt is true khaki in color, with metal buckle and tip. The metal is original painted black. However, this example shows the metal being worn down to show the brass. More often than not, you'll find originals in this state, with only a bit of their blank paint still showing. You can always take a flat model paint and touch it up to restore that black color to it.
The officer's belt has a closed metal buckle with a friction lock on it and won't look right for an enlisted man's impression.
