We set sail from Portsmouth to cross the English Channel. Our destination, Ouisterham (Wee.stir.ham), France. Now, 2nd Armored originally debarked at Vierville. But, as much as we'd like to, the government wasn't keen on us dropping armor on to a public beach... let alone the lack of transport ships and Mulberry dock available.
