Privates (Pvt) Deran DeOrian and Ray Raygoza from Northern California. These guys are in my unit back home. Many of us packed our own whole tents. GIs back in WW2 would carry one half of a tent and would button them up to another guy's half to make a whole shelter. Maybe some of us were afraid of cooties or whatever. I like to think we were making the camp look good by dressing it with a lot of tents. And I certainly did sleep better than most.
