Vierville-sur-Mer / Omaha Beach

This is Mike Bruce, also from California. The bunker had a view straight across the Vierville draw. We could only imagine how many GIs on the beach were killed by the machine guns posted here. It was at this moment when I had a clear sense of what transpired on D-Day and that this trip became more than just a sight-seeing tour.
