In April, Associated Films had gone in to post-production for Riverman. In addition, ideas were being formed as to what was going to be in the next Associated Film Show. However, no movies were completed this month, nor were there any set plans as to what was coming up for the summer.

The Riverman project has moved in to post-production work. James Soeffner has begun work on editing AssFilm's first horror-thriller movie ever. The story takes place in a small town along a river. When several residents turn up missing, the town locals look to legend and lore of a ghastly being dubbed the Riverman. The movie stars Ralph Apel (HC1) as the Riverman and is pursued by characters played by Matt Clark (HC1), Ben Johnson (HC1) and Kelly Merrell (HC1). As it turns out, Anthony Ardisone was not cast in the Riverman movie after originally being considered for the role for Riverman. We had lunch with Mr Ardisone at the Coconut Club in Beverly Hills and he had to say this: "I am very happy for Ralph [Apel] in his success. I think the Riverman role is great for his career, but not for mine. We [he and the casting director, James Soeffner] could see that during the auditions. Did you know the Riverman wears a mask? Well, he does. I hope I didn't ruin anything for you if you're holding fast from the movie. I know how difficult that can be." Not at all, Mr Ardisone. Not at all.
The movie is scheduled to be released this Summer.

Director James Soeffner tells Associated Blast his plans for a re-release of an older AssFilm movie: Ben's Big Drink. "We've come a long way from where we were when we made that movie. I think everyone would a appreciate a new and updated version of Ben's tale." We're not sure what plans Soeffner had in mind for 'improvements,' but we can most definitely expect a different soundtrack and added footage. It is not anticipated to see this movie added to the Titan Collectors Series immediately, if at all.

Associated Films has been quiet for sometime. There has been no production work and only one project in post. No scripts have been proposed as of late, with the exception of the pending "green light" for Horchata's Commandos 2 and Ben Johnson's untitled movie. We caught up with Anthony Ardisone, the apparent go-to man for Associated Films info, and asked him what were the plans this year for the company.
"Well, as you know, Riverman is in post production. With that is a documentary on the making of Riverman. We have two scripts pending a green light: HC2 and Ben's movie. Actually, Ben's movie has been green lighted and we anticipate completing this project by Fall this year. Whether or not it would make in time for the [Horchy] Awards is not certain. Mainly because the exact date of the Awards is uncertain. As for HC2, I don't think it would be a good time to work on this project this year as it is going to require a bigger budget than any film we have worked on. But, James [Soeffner] assures me this one is going to be made. The script is done. I wrote it, so, yeah. It's going to be made. The Pursuit series were a big success so you can expect sequels and spin-offs. I think Summer and Fall are going to be exciting seasons this year. There's going to be a lot of stocking stuffers for Christmas, I can tell you that!"
Ardisone also told us there have been ideas for music videos to be made and there will be some film stars that will be taking a bat at the directing plate. Looks like it's going to be a hot summer and a cool fall!
