July of 2002

While the main bulk of summer was slow, the gears and pulleys of the Associated Films production machine were moving relentlessly. Though little information was trickling out of the production office, news such as a future DVD release, new movies, and the preperation for the 2nd Annual Associated Films Presentation kept the readers of the Blast clawing for more.

New Associated Films project on the horizon! We recently learned of a new project that has been green lit and is scheduled for production by the end of July. Les Marraige Du Tony is a short film directed and written by Ben Johnson, and produced by Ralph Apel. Cast is Anthony Ardisone and a new face to AssFilms, Lisa Decker.
"I don't think it (her role) is big enough." Decker says. With all the potential she has shown the Associated Blast, we can only imagine this to be an understatement. The film is slated to be fully completed by summer's end and to be premiered in the next Horchy Awards this winter. This film is not yet rated.

The Horchata's Commandos DVD experience has been completed today. Following the same suit as the Titan Collectors Series of Home Viewing Media, the DVD will boast the featurettes, trailers, and out takes as did the VHS version. The DVD is the first of DVDs in Associated Films history. Ryan Moore of Porkchop DVD Works states that if anyone is not able to view it will be "missing out." Missing out indeed. Anthony Ardisone, the lead and star of Horchata's Commandos and winner of a 2001 Horchy Award, was asked if he would be one of the people not able to view the DVD. His response: "Not this time, Blast. Not at all."
