The merry month of May showed signs of Associated Films stirring to make some noise for the summer. Scripts were being written and analyzed. Operation 3 Hole Rodeo had finished post-production and talks of a late summer Annual AssFilms Show was in the works. Later, set backs due to technical difficulties pushed the show to October, exactly one year after the 1st.

James Soeffner announces today in an e-mail update that there is material to be completed for another Associated Films Show by the end of June. It is to include 3 short films, 4 previews, and the documentary to Riverman. When we spoke to Soeffner, director of HC1, he conveyed to me that some of the shorts would be remasters of older films, such as 1-2-3 Potato and Ben's Big Drink. In turn, these will probably be found in Titan Collector Series box sets in the future. 3 Hole Rodeo is anticipated to be completed in time for the June show.
"I am not entirely sure what was going on during the filming of this movie... there was a lot of positive energy and it [the movie] was difficult to tell who was in charge." Ralph Apel is the reported director of this spontaneous action flick. He was unable to be reached at the time. Matt Clark also stars in the movie as Samurai Repairman. "I am not sure about this film... [mainly because I think some people were drunk]." We asked him about his role in the movie. "You know, I've always wanted to do a Jap [anese character]." Whatever this film is about, we can expect only the finest from the finest.

Big delays in the post production of Riverman has set back the Associated Films Movie Presentation to an undetermined time. We spoke to James Soeffner about the predicament.
"The problem that has occured is some digital transferrals resulting in a delayed editing process. Things got screwed up." What does this mean for the Premiere Show? "Expect a two week delay at the minimum. We have a window we're trying to work out. If we miss the window, we can look at a two month set back." That's shattering news to Associated Film Fans who have been waiting for the premieres of 3 Hole Rodeo, Riverman, and trailers of films to come.
