As October draws near, Associated Films is hard at work to bring you excellent cinema with a unique touch of comedy, action, drama, and flair. One movie in production this month is "Questioning The Answers." Pursuit:0 is currently in post. Both are scheduled for the 3rd Show this year.

Associated Films has been on the move again. Exciting stories have been flying out of the halls of the Associated Lot on to our very door step. One of the movies in production right now is "Questioning the Answers: Seth In Jeopardy!" Things have run in to a bit of a snag as many of the actors have been either out of state or have been working on some of their other projects. However, director S Dylan Kirkland appears optimistic about the film:
"Oh, I think the footage we've shot is great... Seth looks hilarious!" Of course, Seth Alcorn is not the only star to be in this production. Stars Ben Johnson, Matthew Clark, and Anthony! Ardisone are gracing the screen with their presence as well as a big debuts of some other Associated talent.
The Orange-County based flicker shop states that production has been going well, despite the hold up of some scheduling snags being experienced early this month. However, the movie is slated to make its premiere in the 3rd Annual Associated Films Show.
"Without a doubt, this movie is going to be hilarious," an optimistic Kirkland tells us. And why should he not be? With an all star cast and an outstanding crew... we answer: What is Associated Films?

The 3rd Annual Associated Films Show is right on track and is to be a treat with all new work never seen before, according to James Soeffner, coordinator of the Annual Associated Films Festivals Committee (AAFFC).
"We are looking at having one feature film complimented by several featurettes and short movies not previously released," says Soeffner during our brief visit to the Associated Lot this past weekend. What will be the feature film is uncertain as Questioning The Answers is still in the process of production and appears to have more usable material than originally planned. Soeffner states that the footage he saw "was exceptional and abundant and could possibly turn the short film in to a feature for the 3rd Annual Show."
While at the Orange County studios, we learned that another feature film is in preproduction and is being rushed to be made available for the upcoming film venue. Ben Johnson and Anthony! Ardisone are collaborating to begin work on a film titled: Ring Toss. However, several complications have been made apparent which may delay production until 2004.
"Originally, Ring Toss was the answer to creating a main course for the feast that is the 3rd Annual Show," comments Ardisone, who is directing the movie. "When James [Soeffner] gave me the break down of the 3rd Show, we both agreed that it lacked a strong feature film to round out the evening. The 1st Show has Horchata's, the 2nd Show has Riverman and/or P3, but the 3rd seemed to be a collaboration of unrelated shorts. With Ring Toss, we'd bring a strong hook to the entire event." But preproduction took longer than expected and now the group is faced with an old man's greatest enemy: time.
"If you don't know already, I am going to be out of the country, away on a shoot among other things, and won't be able to be present to direct the film as it moves from production to post." This complication shift the jeopardy from Seth Alcorn (star of Questions) to the 3rd Show.
"It [the 3rd Show] has enough to stand alone as it is. But, we want to bring the audience somewhere, like we did with the 2nd Show. And a feature film is going to do that." With Associated Films already maxed out on talent, resources, outsources, and scheduling, it appeared that the 3rd Show was going to lack a strong finish. But, a blessing in the form of a Double Jeopardy appeared and gave Associated Films the closer they just may need.
"Questioning The Answers is looking so strong now that I think it could definitely be that close we are looking for," says S. Dylan Kirkland, the director of QTA. "We have so much awesome footage, more than I expected, that I think we can use alot of it and make the feature we need to grab the audience like we did before."
Ring Toss is the story of a group of groomsmen who are running late and must travel from Vegas to LA with the wedding ring to make the wedding on time. Despite the improbable shooting schedule, Johnson and Ardisone will continue to work on the idea. Though not officially having been moved from its position on the 3rd Show play list, Questioning The Answers has given enough Jeopardy! Think Music for Ring Toss to decide whether it can be the big contender for Associated's 3rd Show this October.
