Michael Magdalena started his career with Associated Films in a most unusual way. Long been an avid fan of Associated Films, Magdalena managed to burst on to the set of Horchata's Commandos, interrupting the shoot and disturbing the actors. While he was detained, Magdalena explained that he was going to complete his Masters degree in Spying from Pepperdine University and that he would do just about anything for a part in one movie. Cast and crew ignored him and hauled him off the set, but Ralph Apel remembered the event much later when thinking about Operation 3 Hole Rodeo. Thus he was sought out and cast as the Greek Fisherman. He also told him about his idea for Riverman, and Magdelena actually wrote the story for the movie based on the idea.
  Michael Magdalena is expected to make an strong impact on the silver screen with his acting debut. He is also rumored to be in a secret project, but our sources have not been able to pry more information from the company. (March 2003).
