Jack Maher has been a great friend to Associated Films. Repeatedly called upon as a Musical Director for several films, Maher delivers quality product in an amazing short amount of time.
Maher made Associated history when he scored the movie Amnesia! The Musical. Scheduled to come in for the last 6 hours of post-production, he calmly placed his equipment beside the editing deck, got the gist of each scene as it was being cut by director S. Dylan Kirkland, and began scoring music with what he saw on the screen. The end result was a flawless merge of music for which the movie was so well received.
He was then called back, but not just for his musical prowess, but for his look. Jack was brought in to an Associated Film as Totti, the wild stuntman sidekick who doesn't speak English in Ben's Big Stunt. His moment on film was brief, but definitely memorable.
Jack Maher brought the goods when Questioning The Answers: A Story Of Seth In Jeopardy! went in to post-production. Maher skillfully covered the Jeopardy! theme music in to a rocking rendition that gripped the audience and brought the movie to life.
Since then, Jack Maher has appeared and scored several more Associated Films' Scavenger Fest entries, but none were as notable as his performance as Commodore 6ixty 5ive... an 80s musician playing at the party in the movie The Tubular Chick Magnet. He captured the vibe of the decade with his synth song, "Robot Girl," and his rock ballad, "Squeeze The Love."
As long as Associated Films keeps making movies, we know they will be calling upon Jack Maher to put the music to them. His musical skill is definitely a resource that the group is happy to have, and we're happy to hear! (April 2005)
