The Story

The quiet town of Olinda has been just that, quiet for decades. Only theoldest of residents can recall in detail the town's violent history... until now. When the bodies of two teenaged lovers turn up along the banks of the nearby river, it is apparent to the old-timers that Olinda's past has returned to haunt them. "Riverman" has come once again.
Legend has it, a man in the days of old was falsely accused for murder and was hung by the townsfolk. His body was tossed to the river under full moon... a river once used by local natives for burial of their dead in hopes of their rebirth. Since then, rumors of a hooded creature seen along the river's banks have been associated with the violent killings of those who dare tread near there.
But the killings stopped decades ago and Riverman is only something for the oldest of townsfolk to remember... and fear. Here to research the legend of Riverman is Jameson, a scientist and historian intruiged by story and connection to the murders. With him, are three experts: Colonel Pickrell - a retired army infantry colonel, Basil Rattbone - a seismic technician with experience in tracking creatures of lore, and Scarlett Topper - the femme fatale anthropologist specializing in American myths. Together, they set out to walk the banks of the river to find credibility to the Riverman legend and, perhaps, a link to the murders.
