Omaha Beach

We took a moment on Omaha to get some photos in and to let some people walk the beach. This is my halftrack, "Comanche," parked alongside the road which is next to (what I guess to be) the shingle... a small burm of sand and small stones created by the waves. Here it's been bricked in (and probably much higher than it was back then). It was a bit slippery for us in our boots, which didn't have much traction.
