Nouilley la Forêt

In the town square, there is a memorial for the GIs who died fighting in the area for the liberation of France. Several us from 1st and 2nd Platoons stood in formation while they rendered honors. We presented a special wreath on the monument. After the ceremony, vin d'honneur was held for the participants and the locals. Very good cider in peach and apple flavors. Normandy is known for their cider, and for their Calvados brandy.
