According to the château owner, Denis de Kergolay, German General Rommel stayed here a few times while in France. When the Americans came, 2nd Armored Division stayed here after liberating the town, and General Patton himself had used a room here. Because of the history of the unit we were portraying, Comte Kergolay was gracious enough to allow us to stay on the property for two nights.
