Before it got dark, I heard someone calling for medic. They got me and told me Dan Knight had a bad puncture wound. I brought my kit over and found that Dan had stepped on a metal tent peg while barefoot. He had a deep puncture, possibly 1/2 inch, and a good 1/2 avulsion (skin flap).
